Yes, it’s true. John and I have brought the blog into the world of Facebook, for better or worse (I’m predicting good things).
Our current plan is (surprise) to use Facebook to support the blog. The idea is to utilize Facebook just like we do with Twitter to announce when we add new articles to the blog. In addition, we will also post on Facebook when we go back and update past articles, something we do fairly often, particularly in product reviews as issues from continued use come to light or our opinions change. Similarly, if an event occurs in the news that relates to a past article we have written, we might simply refer our readers back to the past articles. Finally, we feel that Facebook is probably more user-friendly to promote discourse, and so we are hopeful that people will, in a civil manner, discuss the opinions and information we post on the blog. On a related note, our readers can also then utilize Facebook to let us know what topics you would like to see us cover in future articles.
So, if you have a Facebook account, go ahead and like us on Facebook so you can follow us that way. If you don’t have one, use this as an excuse to sign up. John and I both have had personal Facebook accounts for a long time and are probably more comfortable using it than Twitter or other social media outlets.
Thanks for reading, and we look forward to continuing to bring you worthwhile content.
