Robert and I took an unplanned, but worthwhile and somber detour on our way out to Alliance, Ohio today… of all the stories from 9/11, Flight 93 has always resonated with me. While it cost them their lives, the passengers and crew fought back that day and altered the course of events, no doubt saving countless more lives. I’m glad that I finally had the chance to see the Flight 93 National Memorial, and I hope it serves as a reminder to not forget the lessons of that day that have been paid for in blood in that hallowed ground. In the words of passenger 10D, “… let’s roll.”

Hallowed ground. I hope to make it out there one day.

I will make it out there before I go . Todd was a smart strong young man when I knew him . Think of Clint Eastwood crossed with Monty Python . He was my director in a lower level management job I held years ago . He went up the corporate ladder and I lost track of him until I read the 93 report . I knew he would make his life worthy even back then . His sense of fun and humor still makes me smile when I see his name . He helped me much in my own career . He helped anyone that would receive help . He died in the saddle !
